Blanco
Unaged · open air, natural fermentation
Intense agave, followed by citrus, then fresh and lasting notes of citrus and peach, finishing with a sweet cooked agave mouth feel.
8 months in American White Oak
Tequila Reposado · 100% agave · 40% ALC/VOL · 80 proof
Eight months in American White Oak is enough to round the agave without covering it. The Reposado sits between the Blanco’s edge and the weight of the two añejos, and it is the one that tends to travel furthest across a table.
Agave, wood and citrus at first taste, then fresh long lasting baked agave with fresh fruit notes.
ColorVery clear, straw-yellow color with golden shine.
AromaDominant note of agave and wood, with sweet hints of ripe fruit (apple, pear, and thin slices of banana), finishing with citric notes.
Once it comes off the still the spirit goes into American white-oak barrels and stays there for eight months. Long enough for the oak to lay wood and citrus beside the agave at the first taste, short enough that the baked-agave sweetness underneath is still doing the talking.
The barrels rest in the estate’s own barrel room at Hacienda Capellanía, in the same buildings where that agave was cooked, milled and fermented.
From the field to the glassRoom temperature, in a flute. Agave, wood and citrus arrive together at the front of a Reposado, and the fresh fruit sits at the back — a little warmth is what lets you find all of it.
When you do want it in company, this is the one we keep coming back to.
