4 years, 7 months in American White Oak
Tequila Extra Añejo · 100% agave · 40% ALC/VOL · 80 proof
Four years and seven months in American White Oak, longer than anything else Davo bottles. That extra time is what deepens the agave into strong wood and baked-agave notes, and what leaves the finish long, silky, and reminiscent of a fine cigar.
Strong wood and baked agave notes, followed by ripe-sweet fruit and chocolate hint that finishes with a long silky note of agave and fine cigar.
ColorVery clear, deep, dark color with copper and pink gold shine.
AromaBaked agave main note, pleasantly paired with chocolate, pepper, wood, and a silky, long lasting feel of new leather and cigar.
The Extra Añejo goes into American white-oak barrels and stays four years and seven months. Every year in the wood takes a little more of the agave’s edge off and puts a little more color in the glass.
The barrels sit in the estate’s brick-vaulted room at Hacienda Capellanía, where every Davo expression that sees oak is aged.
From the field to the glassRoom temperature, in a flute. Four years of oak leaves a great deal to find, and the long, silky finish takes its time arriving.
When you do want it built, this is the one we keep coming back to.
