Mixology

Davo is a sipping tequila first.

Drink it neat, at room temperature, in a flute. Chilling mutes a tequila; using a wide glass releases the aroma too quickly. A narrow glass keeps the aroma where you can reach it, and a little warmth is what carries the finish. Pour an ounce, and give it a minute before the first sip.

Make a toast and begin your flavor journey. Sip slowly, allowing the notes and the finish to come through, that’s how every expression is meant to be savored, especially the Añejo with Natural Almond. Davo can also be used in fine, craft cocktails. See our signature list below.

How to pour it

Three easy things for your sipping pleasure.

The glass.

A flute, or anything that narrows at the top. A wide rim glass releases the aroma before it even reaches you, which will deny you the experience of taking in the complex scents of each Davo flavor expression.

The temperature.

Room temperature, no ice. Cold flattens the finish, and on an añejo that has spent years in oak, the finish is the part worth waiting for.

The pour.

One ounce is just right. Sip it slowly; there’s no need to hurry. Davo was built for smoothness and drinkability, so take your time, relax; just be in the moment.

By expression

Which one, and when.

Davo Tequila Blanco bottle
Blanco

Bright and happy, it’s a beach day in a bottle.

Intense agave up front, then fresh, lasting citrus and peach. It holds its shape against lime, perfect for making the Hope Ranch.

Davo Tequila Reposado bottle
Reposado

The one that goes either way.

Eight months in American White Oak puts agave, wood and citrus side by side, with fresh fruit behind them. Good neat, and the one to reach for when the Jalisco Sunset is what a lazy afternoon calls for.

Davo Tequila Añejo with Natural Almond bottle
Añejo with Natural Almond

The sipping bottle.

Neat, room temperature, in the flute. Twelve to fifteen months in oak and three to twelve months on toasted almonds places distinctive tasting notes in the glass; it wants the room to arrive. When it does take company, it takes Laura’s Carajillo.

Davo Tequila Extra Añejo bottle
Extra Añejo

Four years, seven months of patient aging has its rewards.

Strong wood and baked agave, ripe-sweet fruit, a hint of chocolate, and a finish like a fine cigar. Neat is the default. The Davo Old Fashioned is built on it.

Serve Davo.

As a toast to honor loved ones. For a celebration with family and friends. To create new, lasting memories.
