Accessibility Statement
Effective September 28, 2026
Asuncion Spirits wants davotequila.com to be usable by everyone who comes to it, including people browsing with a screen reader, with a keyboard alone, or with the text enlarged.
The standard we are working to
We build this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard we are working toward. In September 2026 we checked every page against it, with automated testing and by working through each page with a keyboard, and fixed what we found. The site has not been independently audited, and this statement describes our own assessment rather than a certification.
What is in place
- Pages are built from real headings, lists and landmark regions, so a screen reader can move through them in order rather than guessing at the structure.
- Every image that carries meaning has a text description; images that are decoration are marked so assistive technology can skip them.
- Links, buttons and the menu can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and show a visible focus state when they are.
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing the keyboard reaches on every page.
- Text and background colors were measured against the WCAG contrast formula, including text that sits on photographs and on the home page video, and meet the AA threshold for normal-size text.
- The home page video and photograph strips move on their own, and each has a pause button.
- Form fields are labeled, and form errors are announced to screen readers.
- Text resizes with the browser without the layout breaking, and no page depends on a fixed pixel width.
- Nothing on the site flashes or strobes.
Known limitations
One thing on this site falls short of what we would like, and we would rather name it than leave you to find it.
Some motion on the site plays even when a visitor has asked their system for reduced motion. That is a deliberate design choice at the moment, and it is recorded as a known gap rather than an oversight. The pause buttons on the home page stop the video and the photograph strips.
Why there is no accessibility widget
This site does not use an accessibility overlay, toolbar or widget. Overlays sit on top of a site and try to correct it from the outside, and they often get in the way of the screen readers and keyboard tools that people already have set up the way they want. We would rather fix the site itself.
Telling us about a problem
If something here is hard or impossible to use, write to info@asuncionspirits.com or use the contact form. Say what you were trying to do, what got in the way, and what you were using to browse. That last part is the most useful thing you can tell us.
