Davo is a small-batch, artisanal, premium sipping tequila. Born in Santa Barbara. Produced with love and care at Hacienda Capellanía, NOM 1545, in the Highlands of Jalisco. Davo is single-source, estate-grown agave, refined with a natural, open-air fermentation process, and master distilled by the Dávalos brothers. There are four flavor expressions, and our flagship product is the Almond Añejo.

The Blanco is unaged, so the agave speaks first. The Reposado rests 8 months in American White Oak. The Añejo with Natural Almond, our flagship, spends 12 to 15 months in American White Oak plus 3 to 12 months of almond maceration. The Extra Añejo rests 4 years, 7 months.

Our flagship: 100% agave with all-natural almond flavor. It is highly anticipated by the palate as it reveals a delicious almond and citric taste followed by an oily and silky sweet agave, tobacco and cacao finish.

Estate-grown blue Weber agave, cooked in a high-pressure autoclave and fermented in the open air. The distillery sits near fruit orchards that provide wild yeast for open fermentation, joined by the Dávalos brothers’ proprietary culture. Resting in American White Oak does the rest.

Neat, at room temperature, in a flute that asks you to slow down. Make a toast and begin your flavor journey. Sip slowly, allowing the notes and the finish to come through. When you want to mix things up, Davo makes sensational cocktails.

Dave Kronen, known to family and friends as “Davo,” spent decades surfing, swimming, and celebrating life on the beaches of Santa Barbara. He was always the last to leave a party and the first to welcome everyone in. The tequila is named in his honor.

Asunción is the Spanish word for ascending. The ascending dove is a symbol of Dave’s enduring spirit, drawn with tail feathers as agave leaves and embossed into the glass of every expression.

Davo is grown, distilled and bottled at Hacienda Capellanía in San José de Gracia, in the Altos Sur highlands of Jalisco. The Contreras family owns and runs the estate, and the distilling is the Dávalos brothers’ work. Davo credits them as equals.
